[ high, actually! there’s a bunch of cakes on a rack to one side, covered in a glacé icing, and he’s stirring a pot of something quite rich smelling on the stovetop. ]

[ he peers into the pot, before popping the lid back on and turning the heat down on the stovetop. ]

That, and I figured I needed to prepare a few things.

Yeah, I get that. I keep finding myself counting things here for the same reason.

[He's not counting what he wants to count, but he makes due.]

What you're making smells better than any other food I have seen here though.

Yeah. It's better to keep things in order, so counting everything and knowing exactly where everything is feels relaxing in the long run.
