Trains have been around in his world for nearly 250 years, but only really saw mass use about 150 years ago. So if Mizu knows about trains or not, that would help Ali place where Mizu is in the timeline.

Since the wheels are stabilized thanks to these tracks, the 'carriages' can go a lot faster than they normally could. And one group of carriages attached in such a way is called a train. It's a way to get from city to city much faster than before.
