Week 0, Monday

[Ali has spent some time studying the trains, trying to figure out exactly where they go. And during his time studying it, he's come across something Concerning.

He eventually makes it back to the Neighborhood, but he looks a little frazzled and is reaching out to the first person he sees, which in this case is Yves.]

Do you feel brave enough to see something really weird?

[noirges]

Sure!

[ and even though the profiles are out, he'll still approach with a grin and hold his hand out in greeting ]

Also hi, I'm Yves. [ tilting his head ] Are you okay?

[smokeandglasses]

[He'll reach out in turn to shake that hand.]

Ali. It's a pleasure.

[Though he will launch into his explanation as soon as greetings are exchanged.]

I rode the train past the new boardwalk area, and there was this strange gorge. I don't even think I can describe it honestly, it looked like something out of a science fiction movie.

[noirges]

[ hmm yves doesn't know what a science fiction movie is but - ]

Okay... then let's go look. Do you know how to defend yourself, Ali? If you think it's strange...

[ just to be on the safe side ]

week 1, saturday

[noirges]

[ what a trial! yves is over a the bar and he's got a mug of beer with him. it's still mostly full, like he's drinking it slowly for once. there's an empty chair nearby with another mug, along with a little photo frame.

when he notices he has company, he perks up with a smile and waves. ]

Hi, Ali. Want a drink? I can grab you one.

[smokeandglasses]

[He sees the empty seat, the mug, and the photo frame. And then he deliberately chooses to sit on the other side of Yves, not disturbing that open seat.]

Sure. Some kind of hard liquor would be nice.

[noirges]

[ thank you so much for getting it, ali

he'll just laugh and go to the bar, hopping over the counter to get the drink. gabriel will forgive him ]

You got it. That was a rough one, huh?

[smokeandglasses]

Mhmm.

[Go Yves go!]

...remember when I talked to you about the man I wanted to marry?

week 2, post-trial

[noirges]

[ okay he's easy to find. he's waiting outside the church looking thoughtful but also

like he's intentionally making himself easy to find in case people are worried. when he sees you approach he smiles a little sadly and waves ]

Hi. You okay? That was hard.

[smokeandglasses]

It was, yes. Even when the truth became apparent, people seemed to struggle with it.

[He is SO glad Yves got cleared. He might have gotten voted out otherwise.]

[noirges]

[ he could've.... grits teeth ]

It was a tough one... [ he sighs ] I wonder if we don't know enough about each other.

[smokeandglasses]

I don't think we do. It's normal for people to shut others out in scary situations. When murders become commonplace, anyone can be the enemy. But I don't think that's going to help us much here

week 3, wednesday

[noirges]

[ lazy starter they're in the mirrors whoa whoa

You're so kind that it's scary. ]

[smokeandglasses]

[YVES THAT'S SO SAD]

That man really...

[He shakes his head. Regardless of how incredulous it was, Yves is more important than that memory.]

Your friend there was right. None of that is your fault.

[noirges]

[ he's fine...........

he just looks a little sheepish ]

I suppose not... The heart really is fickle, huh?

[smokeandglasses]

It can be, yes. But it can also be a wonderful thing, when it's not the cause of you getting attacked.

week 3, saturday

[noirges]

[ alright that was a trial. yves is walking around with a little basket on his arm and he'll approach at some point. ]

Ali? How does a drink sound?

[smokeandglasses]

[Basket...can he peek and see what's in it?]

I would appreciate that, yes.

[noirges]

[ it's wine and two glasses! he lifts it so it's easier to see ]

Brought it to you this time.

week 4, tuesday

[noirges]

You're so happily with your lover, Ali, I couldn't dream of trying to set you up with someone else

[ is that all he's been doing ]

[smokeandglasses]

[Oh no this is so funny.]

You could talk about how handsome my lover is I guess.

Also we're not opposed to taking thirds, we've done it in the past. Though he's not here to confer with I suppose.

[Now there's some gossip.]

week 5, post-trial

[noirges]

[ he's around the area, probably just exploring the graveyard a little bit more. he waves hello when he sees that he has company ]

Ali! Do you have a favorite place around here?

[smokeandglasses]

[His face brightens a bit when he sees Yves, and he heads right on over.]

Honestly having our own rooms is nice. I haven't explored out much beyond that and the main area where we started at.

[noirges]

[ smiles and offers his hand out to hold just because! ]

Then do you want to walk and talk with me? I'm trying to get the lay of the land too.
