But he doesn't have a halo.

Maybe he's here but not actually dead? Would something like that even work?

Um... I'm not sure. I haven't asked.

Everything is very bizarre already as it is.

It really is. I don't know why I was brought here anyway, I don't believe in any god or goddess.

[boxcar]

I think you are not the only one.

And beyond that, there are others who should be here as well. When I died, there were other people who died at the same time, and yet I was the only one who ended up here.

I do think so too. Some people are together because they know each other, but when I talked to them about it, it sounds like they did not die at the same time either.

And even among strangers, there are people who died centuries apart, on entirely different plants. Clearly time doesn't work the same here.

I don't think gods are limited by time, worlds, dimensions, things like that. And I know they are fickle.

...

But I know that it doesn't make it seem any less strange to us.

[smokeandglasses]

You would think, given their fickleness, they would have shown themselves before now. But in all my life, the only 'gods' I have ever seen were ordinary people who wanted to seize control of the masses.

[His data is out there, he knows everyone knows he is a Ye Olde by now.]

It is like an ant asking for a human to show themselves to it.

We don't hear their words, but we shape the world around them as we please.

We do have more than 'ants' in my world, actually.

[It might be egotistical of him, but he thought that the nonhumans of his world, with all of their power and magic, would be able to see the truth of the world.]

I guess you can apply the idea to other animals...

[ The real point is that a human doesn't necessarily listen to the world around them much, when it feels like they're what comes out on top. ]
